Law Enforcement Operations Result in the Apprehension of Two Individuals in Haryana
Introduction
Police authorities in the Nuh and Gurugram districts of Haryana conducted operations resulting in the detention of two men accused of firearm-related offenses.
Main Body
On Saturday, Crime Branch officials in Nuh apprehended a 36-year-old male resident of Nai village. The subject, who has been linked to approximately 21 criminal cases across Haryana and Rajasthan—including charges of dacoity and attempted murder—had been absconding since February 11, 2026, following an alleged shooting incident involving a female merchant. The apprehension occurred at 3:25 am after the suspect engaged in an exchange of gunfire with police teams. This encounter resulted in a gunshot injury to a police constable's leg and a bullet wound to the suspect's left leg. Both parties were transported to Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Hospital. Consequently, a new First Information Report (FIR) has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Parallelly, in Khandsa village, a man in his 20s was detained by the Manesar Crime Branch on Friday. The arrest followed an incident on Thursday night near Raghuvanshi Mandi, where the individual allegedly discharged a firearm into the air and issued death threats to his uncle following a familial disagreement. The suspect, who possesses a prior record under the Arms Act in Gurugram, was produced before the Gurugram District Court and placed in police custody for three days. Law enforcement officials are currently attempting to retrieve the weapon utilized during the event to verify the chronological sequence of the dispute.
Conclusion
Both suspects remain in custody pending further legal proceedings and medical clearances, while police continue investigations into the recovery of illegal weaponry.
