Seven AAP MPs Leave Party; Rahul Gandhi Will Visit Andaman Islands
Introduction
In India, some politicians left their party. Another politician plans to visit some islands to talk about a big building project.
Main Body
Raghav Chadha and six other party members left the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). They joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This happened three weeks after Chadha lost his job as deputy leader. Now AAP has only three members in the upper house. This is important because there will be elections in Punjab in 2027. In India, there is a law about changing parties. If two-thirds of a party's members in a house agree to join another party, they are not punished. Chadha said two-thirds of AAP's members will join BJP. So they will not be punished. Rahul Gandhi will visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from April 26 to 28. He will meet people from the tribal council. He will talk about a big project. The project is called the Great Nicobar Holistic Development Project. It costs 810 billion rupees. Some people do not like the project. They say it will damage nature and hurt the tribes. The government says the project is important for safety and money. Also, there is a heatwave in Delhi. The temperature will be 42 to 44 degrees Celsius.
Conclusion
The upper house of India changed after some AAP members left. The Great Nicobar project is still a problem. The heatwave in Delhi is also news.
