Travel Problems at Milan Airport
Introduction
Many people had problems at Milan Linate Airport last Sunday. About 100 people missed their flight to Manchester. This happened because of new EU border rules.
Main Body
The flight was EJU5420. Many people waited three hours at passport control. It was very hot in the terminal. Some people felt sick. Families and students were there. Some people paid £500 for new flights. They were unhappy with the airline's help. EasyJet said the plane waited for one hour. But the crew had to leave because of legal rules. The problem is a new system called EES. This system takes photos of faces and fingerprints. It is for people who are not from the EU. Other airports in Lisbon and Paris have the same problem. The UK government says travelers should expect delays. Some airport bosses say the new system is bad. But border police say it is good for security.
Conclusion
The EU is using a new digital system for borders. This makes travel slow for now. Airlines and travelers want the process to be faster.
