USA Updates Air Traffic Control
Introduction
The US government wants to change how it manages planes in the sky. They will move from old tools to new digital tools. This project is called BNATCS. It will make flights safer and faster.
Main Body
Two leaders, Bryan Bedford and Sean Duffy, spoke about the plan. The old system uses old wires and paper. This is too slow. The new project is very big. Workers will work for 10 million hours at 4,600 places. They will use new cables and smart computers. The government spent 12.5 billion dollars last year. Now they need more money from Congress. They want to finish the work by 2028. Some airports had problems with talking to planes. This shows the system needs help. Air traffic controllers like the plan. New tools will help them do their jobs. But the government does not have enough workers. If the plan works, planes will fly faster and use less fuel.
Conclusion
The project needs more money and more workers. The goal is a new and fast system by 2028.
