Police Launch Murder Investigation After Violent Attack in Brighton

Sussex Police have started a murder investigation after a fight at a residential property in Regency Square, Brighton, left one man dead and another seriously injured.

At around 02:10 on Sunday, emergency services responded to reports of a conflict at Moon's Lodge, a hostel in the Regency Square area. When officers arrived, they found two men with stab wounds. A 37-year-old man died at the scene, while another man in his thirties was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Following the incident, police arrested a 26-year-old man with no fixed address near the scene. The suspect is currently being held on suspicion of murder, intentionally causing serious harm, and possessing Class A drugs with the intent to sell them.
