Fighting in Southern Lebanon

Introduction

Israel and Hezbollah are fighting in southern Lebanon. Many people are hurt or dead.

Main Body

The fighting started on March 2. More than 2,500 people died. One million people left their homes. The US tried to stop the war. The two sides agreed to stop fighting, but they are still fighting. Israel used planes and big guns on Sunday. 14 people died. This included two women and two children. Israel told people to leave seven towns. Israel hit buildings and roads. Hezbollah attacked Israeli soldiers. One soldier died and six others were hurt. Hezbollah used small flying robots called drones. Israel stopped some of these drones. Israel says it must protect its people. Hezbollah says Israel is on Lebanese land. They do not agree on where the border is.
