South Korean Stock Market Hits New High
Introduction
The South Korean stock market index, called the KOSPI, reached a new record high on Wednesday. It went above 6,400 points for the first time. People believe companies will make a lot of money soon.

The KOSPI ended at 6,417.93. This is the third day the market went up. At first, people were worried. The US President and the leaders of Iran are not agreeing on a plan. But many regular people bought stocks. They spent 1.24 trillion won. Foreign companies and big banks sold their stocks. Battery and electronics companies did well. Samsung and SK hynix did not go up. In the US, the stock markets went down. Also, the South Korean won became weaker against the US dollar.
