More People from Other Countries Live in Europe
Introduction
A new report from RFBerlin says many people from other countries live in the European Union. In 2025, there were 64.2 million people. In 2010, there were only 40 million people.

Between 2024 and 2025, 2.1 million more people moved to the EU. Germany has the most people from other countries. Almost 18 million people live there. Many of these people work. Spain also grew. 700,000 more people moved to Spain. Now 9.5 million people from other countries live there. Some small countries have many immigrants. Luxembourg has more than 50%. Some countries in Eastern Europe have very few. Poland and Slovakia have less than 5%. Fewer people asked for help as refugees in 2025. The number went down by 26.6%. Germany has the most refugees. Cyprus has a high number of refugees for its small size.
