Lufthansa Cancels Many Flights

Introduction

Lufthansa is a big airline company. Fuel for planes is now very expensive. Because of this, Lufthansa will cancel 20,000 flights this summer.

Fuel prices are very high. This is because of problems in Iran. Lufthansa wants to save money. They will use 40,000 tonnes less fuel. The company will stop using 27 old planes. These planes are from a small part of the company called CityLine. The company also has problems with workers. They want to cut 4,000 office jobs by the year 2030. Some flights to cities like Stavanger and Cork are gone. But passengers can still fly to big cities like Frankfurt and Munich. Other big airlines in the world are also doing this to save money.
