Pope Leo XIV is visiting Africa. He is the first American Pope. He is visiting four countries in eleven days. He spent a lot of time with young people in Cameroon.

The Pope visited a hospital and a university in Cameroon. He also had a big church service at a stadium. Many people came to see him. Most people in Cameroon are very young. The Pope told them to avoid violence. He said education and new businesses are important for peace. The Pope also spoke to President Paul Biya. The President is very old. The Pope told him to stop corruption. Many young people in Cameroon are poor. They do not have good jobs. Because of this, many doctors leave the country to work in other places. There is also trouble in the country. Some people are angry about the last election. Some areas have had wars for ten years. The Pope wants to help the old leaders and the young people understand each other. He started his trip in Algeria.
