Peace in Lebanon and Problems for Planes
Introduction
Israel and Lebanon stop fighting for ten days. Now, ships can go through the Strait of Hormuz again. Oil prices are going down. But planes still have problems.
Main Body
The two countries stopped fighting on Friday. Pakistan helped them. The Strait of Hormuz is a very important water path. Many ships carry oil there. Now, ships can move again. Because of this, oil is cheaper. But the U.S. still blocks some ports in Iran. Airplanes have big problems. Fuel for planes is very expensive. Spirit Airlines may close. Lufthansa stopped 27 planes. KLM cancelled 150 flights. Air Canada stopped flights to New York. Europe has very little fuel. Many flights might stop soon. Some people are happy about the peace. Other people are worried. They think Iran still has too much power. France and Britain are meeting with 40 countries. They want to protect the water path. The U.S. is not in this meeting. Oil prices at gas stations will stay high for a while. It takes time to fix the damage in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Also, Israeli soldiers are still in some parts of Lebanon. One million people cannot go home yet.
Conclusion
The peace is short. The world hopes for a long peace. Then, planes can fly normally again.
