💡 THE 'PAST' SECRET

Look at these words from the text:

  • Killed
  • Arrested
  • Kidnapped

Notice how they all end in -ed. In English, when we talk about things that already happened, we often just add -ed to the end of the action word.

How it works: Action now → Action in the past

  • Kill → Killed
  • Arrest → Arrested
  • Kidnap → Kidnapped
