TransPennine Express Will Run Trains All Night Between Manchester and the Airport
Introduction
TransPennine Express (TPE) has a new timetable. It starts on 17 May. The new timetable includes a train service. It runs all night. This service connects Manchester Piccadilly with Manchester Airport.
Main Body
The new timetable will be in use until 12 December 2026. TPE will add eight more train services. These trains will run all night between Manchester city centre and the airport. They will run about every hour. This helps people travel to the airport early in the morning or late at night. Andrew McClements is a director at TPE. He said most services stay the same. But he asked passengers to check their usual journeys because of the changes. He said the new services give people more choice and a better travel experience. TPE will also add an extra stop at Dewsbury on one weekday train. This train leaves Leeds at 8:05 AM and goes to Manchester Piccadilly. Also, TPE will run two more trains each day for one month. This is for the Edinburgh Fringe festival. The festival is from 3 August to 4 September. These extra trains will help people return from shows. They will run with the normal timetable. The timetable change is not only for TPE. National Rail changes its timetable two times a year, in May and December. The change on 17 May is for all train companies in the country. The next big change will be in December 2026.
Conclusion
TPE's new timetable starts on 17 May. It has an all-night service to Manchester Airport, extra stops, and more trains for the Edinburgh Fringe. The changes help people travel more easily, especially at night and during special events.
