Seven Countries Meet in Paris to Talk About Nature
Introduction
On April 23, 2026, seven countries met in Paris. They talked about the environment for two days. They did not talk about climate change. France did this because they want to stay friends with the United States.
Main Body
Monique Barbut is the leader of ecology in France. She said the meeting focuses on things everyone agrees on. This stops fights with the United States. President Donald Trump is the leader of the United States. He does not like some international environment rules. Now, the countries talk about animals, the ocean, and dry land. Ministers from the UK, Germany, Japan, Canada, and Italy are there. Usha-Maria Turner is there for the United States. France wants 800 million dollars for parks in Africa. Some people are unhappy. Gaia Febvre says the group is too slow. She says they must act fast to save the world. Jean Burkard from WWF says the money must be new money. He does not want old money from other projects. The group also talks about dirty water. They visit a forest to talk about trees.
Conclusion
The countries in Paris want to work together. They do not want to fight. They focus on small nature projects. This happens before a big meeting in Colombia about oil and gas.
